Washington. El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, autorizará «probablemente» el viernes al Congreso la publicación de un controvertido memorando sobre la vigilancia del FBI a su campaña presidencial: un documento que desató una tormenta política en Washington.

«El presidente es favorable» a autorizar al Congreso a tornar público el documento de cuatro páginas, dijo este jueves un alto funcionario de la Casa Blanca, quien adelantó que la luz verde podría ser emitida el viernes.

De acuerdo con la fuente, Trump analizó el memorando en los últimos días, para asegurarse que su publicación no revele informaciones de inteligencia que deban permanecer bajo reserva.

Después de la autorización presidencial, «la cuestión queda en manos del Congreso», apuntó el funcionario.

El nudo de la áspera controversia que se arrastra desde hace semanas es un documento basado en informaciones reservadas y redactado por el titular del Comité de Inteligencia de la Cámara de Representantes, el republicano Devin Nunes.
